Our theater classes help kids express themselves with confidence and creativity

What Makes Our Classes Different?

At The Young Innovators Collective, theater is different.

Kids don’t just act — they:

  • Create their own characters

  • Build stories as a group

  • Explore movement, voice, and expression

  • Gain confidence through creativity

Every class is hands-on, collaborative, and imaginative.

Could You Hug a Cactus?

A musical your child will love — no pressure, all fun!

This session, kids bring “Could You Hug a Cactus?” to life through playful, age-appropriate theater. Perfect for beginners!

In class, your child will:

Explore characters and simple lines

Build confidence and creativity

Work with friends in a supportive, playful environment

Parents, here’s what to know:

Shy kids welcome: they warm up at their own pace

No stress:
it’s about fun and expression, not perfection

Beginner-friendly:
no prior theater experience required

End-of-session performance:
Kids share their creations in a low-pressure, joyful showcase for families

Watch your child go from:

  • Shy → Confident on stage

  • Following directions → Creating their own characters

  • Unsure → Proud of their performance

They won’t just memorize lines —
they will explore, create, and perform in a supportive environment

What Families Have to Say

"The Young Innovators have been incredible for our son. The program is so well-organized, and the instructors are patient, encouraging, and truly know how to bring out the best in every child. They’ve created a safe, welcoming space where kids feel comfortable expressing themselves and trying new things.

He comes home excited, inspired, and always asking for more. We’re so grateful for the care, creativity, and passion they put into everything they do. This place is a gem."

About The Instructor

My name is Taylor and I will be the instructor for this session's theater class. I am excited to bring my love and passion for thee arts to the next generation of budding artists.

I started dancing at the age of 3, and trained pre- professionally until college. I hold a Bachelor's degree Early Childhood Education as well as a Bachelor's degree in Dance. My Master's degree is in Mental Health Therapy in Schools which has inspired me to add mindfulness and social emotional components to my classes.

In addition to dance - I have over 5 years of experience in theater. I have loved working with young actors on expressing themselves through voice and movement.

I believe that learning should be done in a pressure free environment (packed with fun and moments of silliness).
