The Young Innovators Collective
Kids Choreograph, Act, Direct, and Create Their Own Work
Creative Dance, Theater, and Film classes for kids in San Diego.
At The Young Innovators Collective, we believe that every child has a voice, a story, and the imagination to bring it to life. Our programs are designed to let kids lead the creative process while teachers provide guidance and support.
From dance to theater to film, children collaborate, explore, and invent — shaping their own performances, choreographies, and productions along the way.

Our Philosphy
-
Child-Led Creativity: Kids help generate ideas, choreograph movements, create sets, and direct scenes — all within a safe and supportive environment.
-
Guided Exploration: Our teachers act as facilitators, giving children the tools and guidance they need to turn their ideas into creative outcomes.
-
Collaboration & Confidence: Working together on projects teaches kids teamwork, communication, and self-expression.
-
Joy & Imagination: Every class is designed to be fun, engaging, and full of discovery, so children develop a lifelong love of the arts.

What Makes Us Different

At The Young Innovators Collective, children are the creators.
They aren’t just learning; they’re inventing, collaborating, and performing their own work.
We provide the structure, materials, and guidance, while kids contribute the ideas, energy, and imagination.
This approach builds confidence, creativity, and a genuine sense of ownership over their learning.

First
8:1 Class Ratios: Our class ratios are small so that your child is always seen and heard. Our instructors are there to make sure each child's first dance experience is positive.
Community Focused: We practice intentional community building through games that focus on connection and rapport building.
Families First: It is important to us that you are involved with every step of the way. Want to watch class? Of course. Want to have a quick phone call about your child's progress? Definitely. Our programs are built with the whole family in mind and communication is key.

What Families Have to Say
About The Founder
My name is Taylor and I will be the instructor for this session's theater class. I am excited to bring my love and passion for thee arts to the next generation of budding artists.
I started dancing at the age of 3, and trained pre- professionally until college. I hold a Bachelor's degree Early Childhood Education as well as a Bachelor's degree in Dance. My Master's degree is in Mental Health Therapy in Schools which has inspired me to add mindfulness and social emotional components to my classes.
I believe that learning should be done in a pressure free environment (packed with fun and moments of silliness).
